Leaving Steven was difficult, but a calculated risk. Thor was better with strategy than negotiation and he hoped to prove that Stevens well being would show his brother that they didn’t have to kill anyone and could avoid war. He also hoped that leaving Steven might help this old version of his brither’s slave calm down. He put one hand in Stevens shoulder and squeezed. “Your duty is to protect Princess Loki. This Midgardian has proven capabilities. If his communication devise could become a weapon, he might make it so. He is angry with decisions made for him. Do your best here to keep peace.”
Thor assumed that Anthony the Elder might attack, after all. And that would be terrible for relations to continue going so well.
He left with the swing of a hammer and Tony frowned at the scarred, short haired version of a guy he could barely stand and who probably disliked him just as much.
“Let’s stick to English,” he grumbled. “If you’re going to decide my fate, I kinda want to know what it is.”
