Laufey was not offended at the lack of gift. If Thor had come as an official delegate of his people and failed to bring one then it would have been noted, but he did not expect much from a boy barely out of childhood acting on whim and impulse. He nodded, for it was a good decision for the Aesir to go, and gestured them to be free to leave his presence.

"Swift though it may have been," Laufey said to his daughter in the tongue of the Jotnar. "It has lifted my heart to see you. Go safely, daughter."

Loki merely smiled back at him and led Thor out before either of the could get into further issues.

"That was not unpleasant, I think he may approve of you."
