He would have liked to have got something else as well, just in case the boar turned out to be inedible for some reason, but obviously Stark was in no position to go back on his own. He had the slightly wild-eyed look of someone who has been through too much too fast, and he obviously wasn't prepared to defend himself against anything without his signature armour.
So he just jerked his head to indicate that Stark should follow him, and that he would indeed provide an escort back to where base camp had been made.
"Why were you out there?"
It's the first thing he's said in about fifteen minutes of walking, but he just can't seem to puzzle out why Stark would have left the relative safety of their little camp and gone off alone just to get nearly mauled.
