These mortals and their insistences! For a moment, Thor had been certain he was getting through to his brother. He’d been as certain as he’d been on the roof of Stark’s tall home, before that blade came. Why Loki fought their childhood and their friendship together, Thor could not know. He was not in his position, he could not prepare himself to even guess what it might be like to be seen as an enemy, to hate oneself with so much bile.
But Thor did not hate his brother. Even if he had tried to being ruin upon him thrice now, they were family.
Thor held a hand out in anger towards Rogers, as if he was calling forth the hammer, but it was merely to demand silence. “Have you forgotten about the bonds of kin, Loki? We were raised as family and you can not fight that. You can not turn me from you. I will help you. I pledge it.”
There would come a time when Thor could not do so any longer but that was many years to come.
